It is presumed FSM students are interested in the Financial Services Industry

The first assignment is simple.
Picking one of the "new technologies", write a short 2/3 page paper on how this technology may be applied within a specific sub-sector of the Financial Services Industry
For sources of information you obviously use the material on the 620 web site + the book + anything you may read in the newspapers or online media sites

Here's what you do

1. pick a sub-sector (ie. retail banking, or IT services, or 4X trading etc.)
- briefly describe the sector
- explain what problems or challenges there might be that might require the use of some new technology
2. explain what the technology does
- how it can be useful (save time. save money, save resources etc.)
3. Do you know any examples of it being used
- recommendations and comments

Type it on paper, 2 or 3 pages, hand it in next class Feb 15th
