First Impression: I found this
webpage to be very Americanized. I liked the Folgers image with the sun
rising from behind the mountains. I found that this image grabed my attention
toward all the different products Folgers makes.
Navigation:
I found this website easy to follow.
On the homepage they offered links to seperate pages for each different
product such as cafe latte, cappuccino, ground, decafe, instant and whole
bean.
Current Information:
There is no indication that the information
is current. Although they show there new packaging aroma seal to ensure
feash tasting coffee.
Problems Observed:
This website has a product locator
where you enter what product you want and then enter you zip code to find
the store nearest you. Well because this is an American company they don't
offer Canadian customers the option to use this tool because there is not
a spot to enter postal codes.
Useful Applications for Customers:
Customers are able to view every
type of coffee that Folgers makes. Therefore customers are able to see
what there options are before heading to the grocery store to make a purchase.
E-Commerce Considerations:
Folgers does not have online shopping
so there online customers do not have the option to purchase right then
and there.
Additional Comments:
They have an article about helping
re-open the Staute of Liberty because of 9/11 which shows this company
is participating in the recovery of New Yorks landmarks.

I found this page to be cluttered and full of useful information. The pictures on the homepage have nothing to do with coffee and only confused me.

This page was hard to follow and the information that I needed was very hard to find. There we not any links to new products or to view the current products.

There's no indication that the site is not current. There are no dates or links to new products or promotions. It offers current press releases.
Problems Observed:
It takes you through too many links before reaching the page you are looking for. There's to much text on each page making hard to follow and keep interest in.
Useful Applications for Customers:
It offers daily stock quotes and current press releases. You can sign up to be on their e-mail list to receive current information.
E-Commerce Considerations:
They should consider to sell their products online through a secure site. This will enable customers all over the world to buy these products.
